Bio

Rita Reinecker was born and raised in Germany. She developed a love for books and writing at an early age. Her father, Herbert Reinecker, was a well-known writer and television celebrity. She wrote her first story for him when she was eight years old.

Believing her father didn’t love her she stopped writing when she was fourteen. Decades later, when her second marriage failed, she resumed writing. Her book, “Dance with Me, Papa”, is the result.

While this memoir began as the story of her failed second marriage, it became just one chapter—and a pivotal point—in her larger story. Her father, however, was the invisible thread that looped in and out of her life.

Rita Reinecker’s career as graphic designer spanned thirty years. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in writing, her world changed.

She lives in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA.
